Geboren in Deutschland und aufgewachsen in der alten japanischen Stadt Kamakura, zog Megumi Ito 1991 nach Wien um Textil Design an der Universität für Angewandte Kunst zu studieren. Die Designerin lebt und arbeitet in Wien. Megumi Itos Lichtobjekte und Lampenschirme schmücken Shops, Hotels und Privatwohnungen. Sie sind Unikate in Form und Stil und erfüllen die Räume mit der Ausstrahlung und Persönlichkeit der Designerin und der ihrer Kunden. „Das wichtigste an meiner Arbeit ist Licht ins Leben zu bringen,“ sagt Megumi Ito. Mit kunstvoll gestaltetem Licht schafft sie Klarheit, Leichtigkeit und Wärme.
